Searcy Stepping Down from DMH Board
May 1st, 2015 by iPhoneAfter serving 10 years on the Drew Memorial Hospital Board of Directors, with around 6 of those years as chairman, Jim Searcy has announced that he will leave that position when his term expires on June 30.
Searcy told MLive, “I felt like I had been there a long time, and I’m not getting any younger. The hospital is in good financial condition and has a good management team in place; It just seems like a good time for a transition, with the qualified board members we have.”
Searcy will remain on the board until June 30, but announced his intention at Wednesday’s meeting, when he step down as chairperson.
Mike Akin was elected to serve as board chair person for the upcoming year.
