Searcy Seeking Fourth Term as County Treasurer

Drew County Treasurer Charlie Searcy has announced that he will be seeking a fourth term in 2022.
Searcy, a Republican, is a 1985 graduate of Monticello High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1989 and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1993.
Searcy and his wife, Leslie Hollinger Searcy, reside in the Barkada community. She is employed as the director of case management at Drew Memorial Hospital. They have been married for 31 years and have three children, Morgan Searcy Scott, 28; Abby Branscome, 25; and Matthew, 20; and one granddaughter, Searcy Scott, 7. He is a member of the board of directors of the C&L Electric Cooperative Corporation, and a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church and the Monticello Rotary Club.

“It has been an honor to serve the people of Drew County as their treasurer, and I hope to be allowed to continue,” Searcy said. “I’d like to thank everyone for their past support and ask for their vote in the upcoming election.”
