SeaArk Boats Host Back To School Pool Party For Baptist Home
August 25th, 2018 by SubmittedThis past Saturday SeaArk Boats hosted a back to school pool party for the kids of Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home of Monticello. SeaArk donated food, school supplies and refurbished canoes for the center.
More than 50 children and adults participated in the activities. Kids were able to swim and play outdoor games such as flag football, whiffle ball and soccer. SeaArk staff gathered and handed out essential school supplies for learning this year and provided lunch.
Before the event, SeaArk brought Arkansas Baptist Children Center’s worn canoes to the factory to re-weld, water test, smooth out and paint. Numerous SeaArk employees dedicated their free time to make sure the canoes were finished for this weekend.Steve Henderson, President of SeaArk Boats stated, “We’re proud to be able to give back to our community. The Baptist Home is an amazing home to these children and we look forward to this event every year. We love seeing the children’s smiles when they receive school supplies and the volunteer opportunity for our employees. The canoes were most definitely a highlight this year.”
Kelly Jones, Baptist Home for Children Campus Director stated, “SeaArk Boats is a great friend to ABHC! From refurbishing our canoes to cookouts for our kids, we appreciate all SeaArk does to keep us “afloat!”
