Saturday in the Park – Monticello Movie Night

Around 30 people were present at the beginning of the first Monticello Movie Night at City Park, Saturday night, for the Wizard of Oz.

Blankets, jackets, and hoodies were very popular at the event, it took place at the amphitheater.

The next presentation will be April 19th: “Catching Fire,” PG-13.

With the cost at around $25,000 per head, I hope a good time was had by all. One of these days someone is going to figure out how America really got in debt, and Monticello citizens will decide they want that 1 cent of every dollar back in their own pocket. In theory this sounds fun, but at what cost?

This is a pavilion, not an amphitheater. It’s a fancy name but this pavilion does not meet the criteria in shape, design, sound nor function. Looks nice though, and is finally being used for something.

Now, if only we could get something like this at Jordan Park. Let’s build up the ENTIRE community. Morale, opportunity, and resources does wonders for all.
