Ron Sitton Named To Arkansas Press Association’s Education Committee
October 23rd, 2008 by UAM NewsDr. Ron Sitton, assistant professor of journalism at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, has been appointed to the Education Committee of the Arkansas Press Association.
Sitton joined the UAM faculty in 2004 and serves as faculty advisor to “The Voice,” the campus online newspaper, and “The Boll Weevil” yearbook. Sitton holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a doctorate from the University of Tennessee.
The APA’s Education Committee serves to “open the lines of communication between editors and academics to the betterment of our students and newspapers,” according to Sitton.
