Fatality Results from Rollover Wreck on 278
May 8th, 2019 by iPhoneAround 10:45, Monday morning, 2 vehicles collided on 278, west of Wilmar.
3 victims were transported to local hospitals in Monticello and Warren, by SEEMS and MASI.
Monticello fire and rescue were paged to the scene to extricate pinned victims.
According to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober, the Ford entered the roadway from the south, in front of the eastbound Dodge Caravan, causing the collision.
ASP and DCSO worked the crash scene, where traffic was partially blocked for approximately an hour,
Reggie’s and Rod’s Wrecker cleared the roadway.
It has been confirmed, Monday afternoon, that Kenneth Reaves, age 71 of Warren, died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. Reaves was transported to Warren, and then to JRMC for further medical care, where he passed away.
