I appreciate everyone that came out and voted in the special election for mayor.

A special election is just that; special, and it takes special effort, time and energy to get out and go vote.

I especially appreciate all the people that worked so hard in supporting me and that voted for me.

With the runoff election in 3 weeks, I need all my supporters to continue working for me and I need all those votes again.

I also ask everyone that supported Mr. Carr to look at my record when I was in office, visit with me and find out what I stand for and I would cherish your vote and support as well.

There are a number of challenges facing our city. We need a mayor that is up to the task. I am ready to take on those challenges and keep Monticello moving.

I look forward to serving you as your next mayor.
