Residential Burglary Leads to Local Man’s Arrest – Also, See Next Article
September 10th, 2014 by iPhoneIn late August, the Drew County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a residential burglary in the area of highway 35 S.
Lt. Tim Nichols of the Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident and gathered information on property stolen along with the collection of possible evidence. Over the next several days information was gathered on a possible suspect and he was stopped by Monticello Police Officer Troy Harper.
The suspect who was identified as Joshua Gerrald of Drew County was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant and taken to the Drew County Detention Facility.
Gerrald was interviewed by Lt. Nichols during the morning of September 4th. Gerrald admitted to the allegations of Residential Burglary and Theft of Property to Lt. Nichols.
One stolen item has been located and recovered but the majority has not.
Gerrald states that he traded most of the items but would not indicate who he traded them to. He is currently being held at the Drew County Detention Facility on misdemeanor charges and also felony charges for Residential Burglary and Theft of Property .
