November 21st, 2016 by iPhone
A total of 12 fire departments responded to the Burlington rug mill fire, Thursday.
They included Monticello, Warren, Dermott, Collins-Cominto, Dumas, Winchester, Tillar, Lacey-Ladelle, Selma, and the Arkansas Forestry Commission.
A total of 55 firefighters responded, bringing 16 fire fighting vehicles, with them.
Although, not official at this point, the likelihood that the fire was started by employees burning debris near the pallets, where the fire originally started, is being investigated as the primary lead, at this time.
The man (from Memphis, TN), reportedly the primary owner of the facility since it’s local operator passed away, several months ago, arrived in Monticello Thursday evening, around 7 PM.
