Rental Truck Wreck with Power Pole

Around 8 PM, Wednesday evening, the driver of this rental delivery truck pulled the edge of S. Maple St., but the street’s short shoulder caused the truck to fall into the ditch, striking an energy power pole.
MPD worked the accident. Rangel Towing responded to removal of the rental truck. No injuries were reported.
Sources at the scene reported a power transformer nearby exploded, causing two nearby streets to lose electricity.

This has happen multiple times on maple st.Very dangerous.Thats why I voted no on the road tax.The city has never fixed the street and the have had that tax for years!What about us poor folks we need are streets fix to.
Note: The County Road Tax only covers roads outside of the city limits.
City streets are maintained by city employees, and repairs are approved by the City Council members.
