Reason Not to Drive Around Barricades
March 14th, 2016 by iPhoneAccording to Sheriff Mark Gober, around 3 am, the driver of this Woodfield Trucking (Camden) big rig was traveling east on Highway 35, in the Grace Loop area, near Dermott, when he drove around a Road Closed sign.
The 18 wheeler, was soon washed off of its tires by the flowing water, causing it to roll over in the highway.
8 hours later, crews are still working to unload the rolls of paper off of the tractor trailer, and tow it out of the flooded roadway.
The driver was taken to Drew Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.
HWY 35 remains closed, not just because of the tractor trailer, but because of the floodwaters that caused it.
