Rail Road Steel Stolen
July 5th, 2022 by Joe BurgessTerrell Hackney, recently given a $100,000 bond for charges related to drugs and guns, also given a first appearance on a Bench Warrant obtained by the Drew County Sheriff’s Department, for the charge of theft of scrap metal, a class B felony.
The charge stemmed from a complaint from a representative of the Midland Railroad Company that railroad iron that had been taken from property owned by Midland Railroad.
During the investigation, evidence led to a scrap metal yard in Lake Village, where Hackney sold the railroad iron.
According to the representative of Midland Railroad, the estimated value of stolen iron was approximately $10,000.00.
