Quorum Court Approves Insurance for County Employees for 2014

Monday night, the Drew County Quorum Court approved the county employee insurance for 2014.
The insurance will be provided by United Healthcare, and will cover 60 county employees, plus 9 library employees.
Renewal price from QualChoice, with life and dental, was $624.09. United Healthcare’s bid of $516.02, including life and dental, was described as “most reasonable” with its 3.75 rate increase over the 2013 rate.
The coverage has a $2,500 stop loss limit. All local doctors are in its network.
