Prosecution’s Closing Argument
April 15th, 2016 by iPhoneThe prosecution began closing arguments by saying that Hackett was a very dishonest person. In the interview, she began by telling officers that she thought his name was Johnson. She later told them that they had been friends for a long time.
Next it was pointed out that she claimed that she picked him up in Monticello, but actually picked him up in Hamburg.
“13 times, in the interview, she said, “I don’t remember.””
After covering the phone history and together-time, Prosecutor Frank Spain reminded the jury, in reference to the abuse of a corpse charge, that she had shot him, cut him up, burned his body, and threw what she could into a pond.
