Prescription Drug Forgery Arrest
August 21st, 2013 by Joe BurgessDrug Task Force agents, along with Monticello Police, arrested a Monticello man after he attempted to pass a forged prescription at a local pharmacy last week.
The suspect, identified as Andre Thompson, age 24, was apprehended by Task Force Agents after he attempted to pass an altered prescription for Hydrocodone. Thompson was arrested and charged with prescription Fraud. He received a bond in the amount of $1,500 from Monticello District Judge Luvonda Ross.
Thompson was on parole at the time of his arrest.
Hydrocodone, a schedule III controlled substance, is one of the most widely abused drugs in the United States.
