2 reasons not to pass a stopped school bus-1. The children. – 2. The Troopers.
On weekday afternoons, around 3:30, school parents can depend on seeing Monticello Police officers helping with traffic around the school.
Parents can also expect to see Arkansas State Troopers, nearby, protecting school bus students from vehicles that don’t stop for children crossing roadways (especially HWY 425).
The northbound driver of this Toyota Supra recieved their court citation, Wednesday afternoon.
At 3:30, Thursday afternoon, there were 2 separate vehicles stopped (a Honda Accord & a Toyota Camry) on Old Warren Road, near Highway 425, at the same time.
Please be aware that all vehicles, including oncoming vehicles on Highway 425, are required to stop for schoolbuses, with flashing lights.

Monticello traffic is horrific from around 3 p.m. to after 6 p.m. — especially on Hwy 425. Everyone please be careful and patient! And for sure stop for school buses. Thanks to the police and troopers for helping
