Phone Outage Shuts Down Huge Portion of Southeast Arkansas
September 19th, 2021 by Joe BurgessAround 11:30, Sunday morning, phone outages, both cellular and landline disrupted business and communication across the wide section of Southeast Arkansas, including Hamburg, McGehee, Monticello and Warren
AT&T described it as tower outages, that affected AT&T, Verizon, landlines and other internet sources.
Trustworthy sources indicate the cable that was cut was located on 530, between Little Rock and Pine Bluff, possibly in the Dixon Road area.
A wide range of businesses were also affected, including law enforcement, retail outlets and local bank ATMs.
In some locations, 911 is the only operating phone line.
Most customers service was restored at 6 PM, Sunday evening.
Then off again at 6:18 PM.
Then on again at 6:20 PM,……….
