Pedestrian Struck by Car, Airlifted to Jackson
October 14th, 2016 by iPhoneAround 6 AM, Friday morning, first responders were dispatched to the report of a pedestrian struck by vehicle on a Drew County highway.
The accident is being investigated by the Arkansas State Police, who were assisted at the scene, on Highway 165, near Jerome, in Drew County, by Drew County sheriff’s deputies, as well as the local responding ambulance service.
The Dermott man, estimated to be in his mid 40s, received injuries to his legs, in the accident.
Sources at the same report that there were no “car parts” in the area, which is unusual in a pedestrian crash.
The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Jackson Mississippi, for emergency care.
