Patriot Truck Stop Expected to Open Late this Year on 425 South
May 24th, 2021 by Joe BurgessComing soon to Monticello, the Patriot Truck Stop.
It will be built off of Highway 425 South, with 2 entrances. The new truckstop will likely have access from Highway 83, eventually.
Land is cleared and leveling, now, and the owners hope to have groundbreaking on July 4. They hope to be open late this year.
Patriot will have ethanol and non-ethanol gas, diesel on sone gas pumps for convenience, for work trucks and boats (when Lake Monticello returns to its former status), and will carry diesel and off-road diesel. DEF will be on all diesel pumps, and satellite pumps will be available,so truck drivers can fill both side tanks at the same time. They will also have truck parking available.
Patriot will feature a fully stocked convenience store with a hot food bar and extended hours,
and plan to open early and close late.
The Patriot Truck Stop is locally owned and operated by local physicians Tim & Sylvia Simon, along with family members Stevie Richardson & Debra and Steve Richardson, who have experience in farming, logging and the trucking industry.
“The money spent in Monticello needs to stay in Monticello,” & “We want to be what the community needs, as it grows,” are 2 comments that Dr. Sylvia seemed passionate about, during our visit.
We look forward to learning more about the Patriot Truck Stop, in the near future.
