Pat Mitchell Announces Bid for City Council Seat
January 25th, 2016 by Joe Burgess
Mitchell said 2016 is the year to stand up and make a difference in the way government is being run at all levels.
“It is time for some very important changes.” Mitchell said if elected, she pledges to work hard for not only my ward but for all of Monticello. She said 2017 needs to be different.
Before moving back to Monticello, Mitchell served on the Morehouse Parish Police Jury.
“I had the largest geographical district in the parish,” Mitchell said. “I served on the budget, roads, drainage, and personnel committees plus others. Some of these committees, we don’t have but I feel we should.”
Mitchell said she wants to make a difference in her community. There is more to serving on the city council than attending one meeting a month,” Mitchell said.
