Parks Committee Member “FaceBooks” about Mayor Candidacy

A Monticello parks committee member, who twice has attempted a run for City Council, recently posted on FaceBook the possiblilty of seeking the office of Monticello Mayor.
Jo Ann Trotter, a newly appointed parks committe member, and leader of the Sadie Johnson Center planning recommendation committee, spoke to MLive Wednesday, downplaying her post as “a rumor” and “a joke”.
The post was removed from FaceBook, overnight.
The primary election for Mayor will be held in May, 2014.
