Tuesday, around 12 noon, a westbound GMC Envoy on Scott Street dropped off the edge of the pavement, and wasn;t able to re-rain control, before they collided with a street sign, a stop sign, and a fire hydrant.

Modern fire hydrants have a built in “break away” to prevent major leaks, when they are struck by vehicles.

PCH Scam Calling Monticello Again

January 28th, 2013 by

MLive has had multiple phone calls about the “old” Publisher’s Clearing House Scam resurfacing in Monticello, again.

Over the last two weeks, several local residents have received phone calls, where they were told to buy a certain cash card, or make a wire payment, in exchange for their “winning check” to be processed and delivered to them.

Please be aware that this is a scam, and don’t waste you time (or your money) with these calls.
