The Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Eubanks chiropractic , located on W. Bolling St.
Clint Eubanks, a graduate of MHS and Texas Chiroproactic College, recently opened his Chiropractic Clinic, here, in his hometown.

Construction of a new office complex across the intersection from Ray’s and Walgreens, is making progress.
The office complex will contain several individual offices, available for rent or lease, and a parking area for their use.
Seasons Floral and Gifts recently moved across the highway, into their new location at 961 HWY 425 N., the former Gift Shaker location.

Country Wrappers, formerly located on S. Main St., recently moved to Highway 425 S., across from Hunters Car Wash.

Sources have confirmed that the Family Dollar franchise of dollar stores has purchased property in Monticello and plans to open a store here in the near future.
The store will be located between Walgreens and Newman Fixtures on Gaines St.
Monticello has several new businesses that have recently opened, as well as many more that have moved to a new location, or added services.

The new library’s expected completion date is in late April, due to weather.
They are pouring the walking trail around the library now.
The new library will feature more computers, as well as being more expandable with changing technology.

Monticello Police Department retired dispatcher Gail Hyatt was honored, Wednesday morning, with the Arkansas Red Cross’ Heroes award.
Around 4:30, Thursday afternoon, during the 700 acre wildfire, a local man was trapped in the woods, with fire and smoke surrounding him.

Drew County Judge Robert Akin has announced that he will be seeking a second term in the general election this fall. Akin, an independent, was first elected in November of 2012.

Ace Benjamin Rawls will turn 2 years old on January 27, 2014. He is the son of Jeff and Jamie Rawls and the little brother of Jaxon Rawls of Monticello. Ace attends daycare at Small Wonder and loves playing with his big brother.

Just before midnight, Friday night, a S. Maple St. neighbor called 911 reporting this mobile home fire.
The Monticello Fire and Police Departments quickly responded, but the structure was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.
The residents were not home, and no one was injured during the fire.

Millcreek of Arkansas is accepting applications for a Registered Nurse for our PRTF Program. The candidate must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Arkansas, at least 21 years of age, and have the ability to work with adolescents with behavioral disorders.

Arkansas State Highway Commission approved a bid for improvements to roadways in Drew County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The purpose of the project is to resurface 1.5 miles of roadway in Monticello..
