A 21 year-old  Monticello area lady died, Tuesday afternoon, at 1:11 pm,  in a head-on collision on HWY 278 East.

The City Park Pool and Jordan Park Splash Pad will be opening to the public, beginning Saturday.

Regular operation hours are Monday – Saturday, from 1-6 pm and Sunday from 1:30-5:30 pm.

The clients at Discovery Skills Center held their annual Lip Sync Show, with the proceeds going to the SEARK Miracle League.

Law enforcement officers from Ashley and Drew County gave their time and effort on Wednesday, May 22nd to participate in the Area 12 leg of the 2015 Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics Arkansas.

The Drew Central Elementary fourth grade students participated in an Arkansas Words Spelling Bee. This bee was a part of the Arkansas History Unit. The students spent a week practicing and learning to spell words like Arkansans, Ouachita River, & many more. These three students were the overall winners for fourth grade.
