A local pawn shop was burglarized on February 21st in Monticello. One arrest was made and three others fled the scene.

After years of waiting, the City of Monticello finally received their 2013, 2014 & 2015 audits from Bell, Foster, Watkins & Johnson, after having been notified several times of violations by the Arkansas Department of Legislative Audit.
The council also voted to accept bids for the upcoming audit, which has generally cost around $45,000/year.
