The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to roadways in Drew County.
The purpose of this project is to resurface approximately 3.5 miles of County Roads 89 and 97 near Plantersville.
Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel Company of Pine Bluff was awarded the contract at $440,306.40.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid 2018.

Southeast Arkansas Community Action Corporation Governing Board of Directors will meet in a regular scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. The Arkansas Cancer Coalition (ACC) is excited to award Mainline Health Systems, Inc. with a grant in the amount of $53,951.76 to implement cancer control efforts that support the Arkansas Cancer Plan.
