Citizens Bank Again Ranks Among ‘Best Places to Work’

For the second time in the past two years, Citizens Bank has been named as one of the “Best Places to Work in Arkansas,” according to a survey sponsored by the Arkansas Business newspaper.
The “Best Places to Work” survey and awards program is “designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in Arkansas, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses,” according to Arkansas Business. Read the rest of this entry »

Drew County 4-H has started a teen leader club for ages 13 through 19. This club teaches leadership, communication, and public speaking skills which will last a lifetime. Students will have the opportunity to take part in events and competitions on the local, state, and national levels which allow them to meet other youth and make lasting friendships. Our club is currently doing a series of videos displaying science projects, art ideas, and various life hacks staring members of the club. This week’s video features club President Bentley S. Bentley is 14 and also a member of Horse Club and a member of Drew County WHEP Team. He will be demonstrating an easy way portable way to fill a water balloon.

Local Health Units Extend Hours On Tuesdays

Local Health Units across Arkansas will stay open later on Tuesdays so that services including flu vaccinations and COVID-19 tests are available after normal business hours.
The health units, which are located in every county in the state, will now be open between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesdays.
“Local Health Units play a critical role in improving the health and well-being of Arkansans,” said Cassie Cochran, the director of ADH’s Center for Local Public Health. “We hope this change makes the units more accessible and allows more Arkansans to take advantage of the available services.” Read the rest of this entry »
