Late Tuesday morning, MLive broke a story about the data mining facility that is being located at the intersection of Cherry Street and the railroad.
By popular demand, the first two stories this morning are re-posts of those stories.
The next story is a press release from MEDC, welcoming them.
The next story after that will be from Delta Data, the company itself, explaining their noise mediation program.
Recently, out-of-town investors filed building permits in Monticello to construct/assemble data/bitcoin/cryptocurrency mining, in an area next to an Entergy substation, formerly referred to as the Cherry Street trailer park.
Quality WATER is the PRIORITY
As the Mayor’s Office continues efforts to address and improve Monticello’s infrastructure and water system, a recent inspection of one of the cities towers was ordered and performed.
Inspections of towers examine the tower for a wide range of reasons. Ranging from rust spots and holes that could allow contaminants into water stored in the tower to structural integrity issues.
“We are committed to improving the quality and performance of our water supply chain. Whether it is stored water in a tower or at the wastewater plants, every link in that chain is vital. It must be modernized, maintained and our top priority”
A photo was taken of the inspector as he is seen manually climbing the water tower.
