Skywarn Class Coming to Rison, Tuesday

It will be a 2 hour program outlining what to watch for, how to report, and identify Weather formations.
It will be held at the Rison Veterans hall, 404 Sycamore St. Rison AR.

RE- OPENED. ———HWY 83 Bridge Section Closed for Flooding

ARDOT has closed the bridge section north of Monticello, due to flooding, and until flood waters go down, and they can get the bridge inspected to make sure it is safe.

Flood Watch & Strong Winds to Continue

This photo shows road crews, DCSO and OEM responding to a fallen tree across Highway 278, near Dead Man’s Curve, Tuesday morning around 10 AM.

Since then, flooded roadways, fallen trees, and a power outage have affected portions of Drew County, and seem to be starting again today, due to the flood watch that has been issued by the National Weather Service.

Please use caution when driving, and be aware of weather related dangers, that may have occurred.
