Overnight Fire at Price Lumber Company, Thursday Night

At 2:03 am, Friday morning, a call was received by Monticello dispatch reporting a fire at Price Lumber Company, on Old Troy Road, near Midway Route.
The fire seems to have been contained to wood inside of a kiln. A kiln is were the drying process of the lumber mill takes place.
The Monticello Fire Dept. responded, and had the fire extinguished in less than an hour, but remained on the scene until aroun 6 am, hosing down wood inside of the kiln, prevevting any hot spots from blazing up into another fire.
Damage to the facility was described as “minor”, and work is to resume on Friday morning.
