According to the prosecution, Flowers lived at a female friend’s house, C. J., who began dating Huskey.
Allegedly, late in the evening of July 18, Huskey knocked on Flowers’ door, and when the door opened, punched Flowers, knocking him down, and began kicking him across the room.
After the assault, Flowers stumbled outside, and fell down. A neighbor, C. J.’s brother, found him. He took Flowers into his home, called first responders, tried to care for his wounds, and was told by Flowers what had happened
