Million Dollar Bond Set for Bradley County Shooting Death

Laron Hayes Jr.’s Bond Set At $1,000,000
According to Salineriverchronicle.com, in his first appearance hearing, Laron Hayes Jr. (J.R.)’s bond was set at $1,000,000 after he was formally charged with 1st degree murder in the death of 31-year-old Colby Allen Rice, of El Dorado.
Hayes was arrested by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Warren Police Department yesterday, December 27, 2017 in Warren at a residence on West Central Street. In addition to the 1st degree murder charge, Hayes also has been charged with 1st degree terroristic threatening and aggravated assault.
The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office has requested the assistance of the Arkansas State Police in conducting the investigation into the death.

According to Salineriverchronicle.com, Bradley County Sheriff Herschel Tillman has reported that Laron Hayes, Jr. (J.R.) age 36, of Godfrey Place, was arrested Tuesday afternoon at a residence on West Central Street for the murder of 31 year old Colby Allen Rice, of ElDorado. Rice died of a gunshot wound.
The investigation is ongoing. Hayes is being held pending a bond hearing Wednesday, December 27.

According to Salineriverchronicle.com, the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that one person was killed in a shooting early Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
The suspect is in custody. No names have been released at this time. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will have more information as it becomes available.
