Deadline Passes to File for School Board Seats – All 10 Positions Up for Re-election
July 10th, 2012 by Joe Burgess
Re-disticting of school board boundaries is required, due to the 2010 census, just like it was for the city council and quorum court.
All school board seats in both districts are up for re-election in the upcoming September 18 election.
Today, at noon, was the deadline to file as a candidate for any of the 5 seats, on both Monticello and Drew Central’s school board.
Early voting will begin Sept. 11, and continue until Sept 17, in the Courthouse club room, from 8-4:30 each day, with no Saturday voting. Polling places will be announced later.
