New Rental Rates for Sadie Johnson Community Center
September 17th, 2013 byAt Mondaay night’s City Parks Committee, the committeee voted to rent out the new Sadie Johnson Community Center only as a whole building rental, not as individual rooms.
The rental rate will be the same as the whole builidng rent had been previously; $175 for 4 hours or less, or $225 for over 4 hours.
The change will take effect on January 1.

Our tax dollars built and maintain it. Why do we have to rent it?
Please tell me why the CITY OF MONTICELLO WON’T PUT THE HEADSTART BACK IN THE BUILDING. IT WASN’T THE HEADSTART TGAT STARTED THE FIRE!!!!! When SADIE DONATED THE LAND IT WAS MEANT FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES, NOT PARTIES!!!
Lets give Karen Connely and the Park Committee a break. They have the fees on average with the other Public and Private indoor facilities. That was the primary argument from inception. Karen and JoAnn Trotter have taken a plenty from a number of us and now we must rest our case.job more than well done Ladys and it never would have happened without you two in the forefront, again, congratulations, Job more than well done.
