New Postage Rates in Effect
January 27th, 2014 by iPhoneNew postage rates went into effect over the weekend; so here are the changes that will affect most of us.
First, remember that “forever stamps” will still be equal to a 1 ounce, first class postage stamp.
The cost to mail a first-class letter increased from .46 to .49.
Postcards are 34 cents.
First-class letters over 1 oz., will be charged .21 instead of. 20 for each additional oz.
There is also a 21 cent surcharge for “non-machinable” (ex. too thick) letters.
