The Drew Memorial Hospital Board of Directors spent a large portion of Monday’s hospital financial meeting, with their “CEO candidate #1,” that they had recently offered the administrator position to.

During Tuesday nights board meeting, the members present voted unanimously to hire Scott Barrilleaux as the new CEO of DMH.

Barrilleaux is expected to move into the position in around 30 days.

Barrilleaux is currently administrator at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah, LA. He has 12 years hospital administrative experience, is a native of Thibodeau, LA.

After the hiring, it was announced that interim CEO Ron Rooney had submitted his letter of resignation, and order to return to his retirement in North Arkansas .
