New Beginnings Expanding to Serve 10 Counties
June 24th, 2014 by iPhoneAccording to Rita Shepherd, Executive Director, 10th District Substance Abuse Treatment Program d.b.a.New Beginings CASA has expanded its treatment area from Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Desha,and Drew Counties to include Arkansas, Cleveland, Grant, Jefferson and Lincoln Counties.
New Beginnings is a CARF accredited agency and is licensed by the State.
The Arkansas Department of Behavioral Health assigned responsibility to provide services to the additional 5 counties to New Beginnings, affective June 1, 2014.
New Beginnings is a 32 bed facility, currently housing about 20 clients, in addition to serving 60 clients on an outpatient basis.
Serving the new counties will greatly increase outpatient treatment (outpatient offices are available in each service county), as well as maximize use of the inpatient facility, while leaving seven beds available for emergency and detox cases.
New Beginnings is located in Warren, but serves many Drew County clients, and purchases many if their supplies in Monticello.
