Nick Provencher, former instructor of Political Science at the UAMonticello, has been hired as Assistant to the Mayor for the City of Monticello.

In his new position, Provencher will be responsible for coordinating the human resources duties of the Mayor’s Office, acting as support staff for city boards & commissions, and assisting the office with legislative affairs

Provencher graduated from the UAM in 2012, earning a undergraduate degree in political science. He then went on to attend the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, where he earned a Master’s of Public Service in 2014. Prior to accepting the position, Nick served as a Visiting Instructor of Political Science at the UAM; and brings a track record of success in public management and community development.
