Nephew Facing Capital Murder Charges for Shooting Death of Uncle

Monday afternoon, around 3 PM, Monticello Police received a phone call from a female caller on E. Jackson St., reporting that her brother was in a nearby yard, and she believed he was deceased.
MPD, ASP and DCSO quickly responded, along with MASI.
As the investigation continued, Jonathan Evins was arrested and is facing charges for the shooting death of John Henry Miller, for the incident which occurred outside Miller’s residence.
The investigation is still in progress.
