MYS Baseball Statement
May 22nd, 2020 by Joe Burgess
Please bear with us as there are still decisions that have to be made as a result of the governors announcement, yesterday. We have made contact with the city and Parks & Rec committee regarding the re-opening of the complex. We will be meeting again asap to discuss final details on refund dates as well as season startup dates. Due to the complexity of rescheduling all the games we need time to adjust those accordingly. Also we have to consider team size again knowing that some will have prior commitments and will not return to play and redraft could be possible. We ARE NOT saying that is the case at this time but know it could be possible if numbers are low. As you know he announced masks would be required for everyone over 10 yo unless they are playing. That includes all coaches, staff, and spectators. We do not know what or if the city will require any additional rules to enter the complex and await their decision. We do ask that everyone please be understanding during these difficult times and respect the rules that will be given, if not followed we have been told there will be no choice for city officials but to shut it down again. Again we thank you for you patience and understanding and hope to bring good news soon!
