Murder Trial Begins, Wednesday at Courthouse
September 13th, 2018 by iPhoneA Drew County Circuit Court jury spent the day hearing the murder and armed robbery case of Jerrell Terry, one of two defendants in the Nov. 14, 2017 Wilmar shooting death of Christon Sheets, along with co-defendant Dominez Figures.
Opening statements indicate that the 2 suspects were brought to Sheets’ home, from McGehee, by Sheets, several hours before the robbery & shooting.
Sheets’ girlfriend, the state’s first witness, told the court that they had all been smoking weed, before the 2 eventual suspects each took one of Sheets’ 2 rifles, (1 black, 1 brown) pointing them at Sheets, Ike they were taking pictures,” when Figures said something along the lines of, “you know what this is?”
Sheets attempted to scuffle with Terry, when shots were fired, fatally injuring Sheets.
