The murder trial for Myron Briggs, age 41 of Monticello, charged with first degree murder for the death of Eric Thompson, on September 9, began Tuesday, at the Drew County Courthouse.

Court began at 9 am.
Questioning of the jury seemed to focus on “self defense.”
The jury was seated at 10:30.
