A distant neighbor testified that he’d seen a pick-up truck leave the victim’s house, right after he heard the shot. The defense had him confirm that it was a pick-up, and not a car or SUV.
The prosecutor then had him confirm that he was a half a city block away from the vehicle, and had drank 3 beers. He had told the court that he didn’t go the the crime scene, since he didn’t want to get charged with public intox.
He also asked him to describe the brush and trees in his line of site, towards the vehicle, before being dismissed.
The defense rested their case, around
3:45, without Wes Pryor taking the stand to speak in his own defense.
Judge Bynum Gibson began instructions to the jury
at 3:55.
