Deputy Scott Chapman was called next. He was the first deputy to respond, and “secured the scene” til other officers arrived.
MPD’s Gerald Clarke then described Pryor’s arrest, at his girlfriend’s doublewide trailer. He was behind the trailer with no boots on, talking on a cell phone, holding a red shirt on his hand.
Clarke told the jury Pryor told the the person he was speaking to, “I gotta go. I didn’t do anything, and the police are here. Gerald Clarke is here. I gotta go.” He was then arrested without incident.
Shortly after
2 pm, MPD’s Ben Michel testified that he was present for Pryor’s arrest, and described it in much the same way as Officer Clarke.
