Murder Trial 1:15 Update – The Witness that Heard the Shot & Found Hewitt’s Body

He told how he pushed the front door open, feeling resistance from the door, and found Hewitt’s body laying in the floor. He described the smell of gun powder, the broken door jam, and the wound to the deceased’s chest.
He told the court about finding the spent shotgun shell, as friends were trying locate the discarded shotgun, and called the Sheriff’s Dept. to secure the high brass 2 3/4′ green shell casing for evidence.
The court then broke session for lunch.
