Murder Charge Goes to Jury – Closing Arguments
July 26th, 2013 by iPhoneClosing arguments had the defense focusing on witness testimony saying “around 7:30” and “around dark,” (which is around 5:30 in December) and descriptions of the taillights not working vs. “everyone else seeing taillights.”
The prosecution emphasized that Pryor’s mom’s times supported their case, and that his friends’ testimony shows Pryor had the “tools needed” (shotgun with 00 buckshot) to commit the crime that took Charles Hewitt’s death.
He final point was to remind the jury that ad soon as Pryor got to the doublewide, he washed at least his face and hands, to get rid of evidence.
The jury went into deliberations at 4:45.
