MPD Working to Solve Tuesday Hit & Run
September 17th, 2020 by Joe BurgessThe Monticello Police Department is investigating a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian on Tuesday.
The pedestrian was struck on south Conely street. The victim, after being struck, was trapped and dragged under the vehicle a short distance after being struck. The driver drove off and left the victim as they laid in the roadway. The victim is in serious but stable condition.
The victim was unable to give a vehicle description, but the vehicle is believed to be dark colored, possibly black. MPD needs the public’s help in resolving this and locating the driver.
