MPD Investigating Local Shooting

At 10:48, Thursday evening, Monticello dispatch received a 911 called reporting a shooting, with a victim, at the Turtle Creek Apartments, on Oakland Street in Monticello.
MPD arrived in minutes, and located the injured man. Details are vague, at this time, as the investigation is still underway.
The victim received a single gunshot wound to the back of the leg, and was transported to JRMC in Pine Bluff, where he remained hospitalized, late Friday.
