MPD Finds Parents of Lost Toddler
August 18th, 2014 by iPhoneAround 9:45, Monday morning, a motorist near the intersection of Bolling and Borchardt Sreets , noticed a white, male 3 year old child, walking barefoot, wearing only a diaper and T-shirt, and called Monticello Police.
After knocking on neighborhood doors for almost an hour, officers were able to locate the man believed to be responsible for the child’s care..
MPD notified the mother, who was reportedly at work, while the search was taking place.
Sources tell MLive that the child left the Monticello Apartments area on Conrad Street, before walking south for a block.
If the child had walked west, instead of east, it would’ve been on HWY 425.
DHS took custody of the toddler, pending further investigation.
