MPD Drug Arrest Sends Female To Jail for 5th Time, Since April
July 30th, 2019 by iPhoneAccording to Monticello Police Chief Jason Akers, a traffic stop led to the arrest of a Monticello woman by patrol and narcotics officers.
Heather Ellis, age 28, of Monticello was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A search of Ellis’ vehicle resulted in police locating a safe, which was later accessed by search warrant by Drug Task Force Agents, and found to contain prescription narcotics, marijuana and suspected MDMA, or Ecstasy.
Ellis was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $15,000.
Ellis has been arrested five times, since April of this year.
